Beautiful trail that traverses Alum Creek via multiple, cool bridges. If you’re starting at the north end of the trail, plenty of parking at the Westerville Sports Complex/soccer fields. Very low gradient as you ride with the current of the creek southbound. Trail is in great shape/completely paved. Utilizes several boardwalks which are very slippery when wet. Roughly 15 miles in(if you start at the northern end), you can hop off of the trail and visit the Franklin Park Conservatory. Immediately before that, you can crossover the Broad St bridge or the ped bridge to the Old Bag of Nails pub, which has a wooden deck overlooking the creek. At least 50% of trail is shaded. Trail is 20+ miles in length, not the 12 miles indicated. At the end/trailhead, it will connect to Blacklick Creek Greenway Trail which is 12 miles in length.

FYI I’m thirteen. Great trail, gets a little bumpy at places but overall good for road biking. Although it’s not good for long distance bike rides, serious bikers. The sceneries are the best.

This is a great trail. The map on this app is sever years out of date. Columbus Metro Parks have extended this trail down through Bexley and Groveport to connect it to the Blacklick Creek trail. it is the central portion of the Ohio to Erie bikeway.

The Alum Creek trail is by far one of may favorites for cycling in central Ohio. The trail actually extends South all the way through Three Creeks Metro Park. The section of the trail through the metro park is probably the best as is passes through sections of woods, grasslands, and tall pine trees. I've seen hawks, eagles, and osprey while cycling through Three Creeks.
