Wiseman's View Loop is a 6.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Morganton, North Carolina that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, camping, nature trips, and bird watching and is best used from April until October.

Backpacking

Be sure you are prepared if doing this. The Sandy Flats trail has been abandoned for years, and you’ll have to bushwack and navigate yourself out of the gorge without any clear indication of where you’re going. At one point you’ll come face to face with a rock face, and it won’t be clear where to go. This is not a loop of the inexperienced.
