Easy hike. I use it as a running trail so you'd have to watch the small rocks and roots of the trees. on the trail. Very versatile trail in a forest, so shades, with a creek alongside the trail. I'd recommend it.

My kids love this hike because there are multiple playgrounds to stop at along the way. Besides the Wilson Park playground at the start/finish, there area couple of "hidden" playgrounds in the forest along Bolin Creek (built by the local neighborhood HOAs but not highly trafficked). Carolina North Forest is huge; you can walk for 1-2 miles or you can walk for 6-10, depending on your route and how many side trail loops you want to add.
