Very nice, secluded area with well keep trails. Even had portable bathrooms, which with Covid 19.... most park are not providing any place to relieve yourself. But what I liked the most was the cleanliness of the area. Well done

A serene hike through the words. Excellent paths that are well marked. Saw two people with their furry friends on leashes and 2 bunny rabbits With Covid restrictions, the facilities are closed. I added length by parking at the main entrance and walking from there.

Walk at this trail multiple times a week. Great addition to Wendell. Wear some bug spray.

Easy to mile trail in wake county. Even on the weekend it’s not very heavily traveled. It’s a good place for an hour or two in the afternoon.

Great little trail just far enough from Raleigh that it’s not very trafficked. Only downside was the sandy path, got a lot of sand in my shoes the whole time. Signage was fine for what trails were which way.

Never open. Not sure why they close this time of the year, I would rather enjoy this at 60 degrees and sunny than 95 degrees and 80 percent humidity.

Short easy trail worth a see but still being improved

Sun Jan 27 2019

Easy walk, level wide trails. The overlook has binoculars. Do not use the official trail map from Wakegov.com, it is completely outdated. The trail map in this app or also the printed maps at the park are correct.

A hidden gem. The trail is well maintained and easy to travel. The area is very clean and offers many areas to picnic, benches along the trails, a privy at the trailhead, wildlife viewing, bird watching, etc. The trail is opened Monday-Sunday 8am- sunset during the peak season (Mother’s Day until the first weekend in August) and Saturday-Sunday 8am-sunset during the off peak season (First weekend in August until Mother’s Day). Take advantage of this unique area of NC which is a transitional area between the Piedmont and the Coastal Plain of the state.
