Wonderful little hike. Spectacular falls! I can’t believe this isn’t a more popular falls. We rate this a “parent hike”- as in it’s a great one to bring the parents to when they come into town!

Beautiful trail. Would rate it higher but for the trash! Leave no trace is not being honored on this trail.

We hiked this trail on 02.22.20, beautiful day, slightly chilly. Great trail, short hike to a beautiful waterfall. Heavily trafficked/populated. Plenty of places to stop and rest if needed.

Nice easy trail. Beautiful falls, so worth the short hike. Bring a trash bag though, because the leave no trace rule was clearly and frequently disregarded.

Great short trail! Did this trail with some light rain and it was peaceful and super beautiful. Wouldn’t mind camping out on this trail, they have some camping areas with man made fire pits. Enjoy.

This was an awesome little hike-walk. Just a mile or two off the main road. Beautiful falls!!! If you're a photographer... get there before sunrise. When the sun comes over the horizon, it hits the falls. Very clean trail, even benches to sit on. I'll be back... I want to see that top falls that's set back...

Awesome. Took the kids 2, 7 and 11. They did great. Perfect length. A little sketchy when you pull up but totally worth it, epic little find. On the way from Asheville to Blowing Rock.

beautiful waterfall, but the accessibility makes it VERY crowded in the late spring and summer. i'm glad i've seen it, but i will not be back.

it was an easy trail getting to falls. Going all the way to the top was a little harder but well worth it. Beautiful falls! The mine was cool too!

Pretty waterfall, easy trail. We took 3 kids with us, age 7,5, and 2, they had no issues. Ankle-deep pool at the base allowed the kids to splash around in the water.

i spent 2 months in September & October of 2017 tour six southern states checking out all kinds of trails & historical site. started my day here. tom's creek falls has to be the easiest trail i have ever done. its a straight line to the falls. less than a mile with almost no elevation gain. you can walk it blind folded. but still nice to see this 80ft multi-cascade falls with a small plunge pool. if you walk the trail in the spring A variety of wildflowers grow among the hardwood forest. i meet a really nice couple here and they told me there is also an old mica mine just downstream from falls but i didn't have time to check it out. all in all a great little spot to add to any day trip.

Grated trail covered in ground rock. Stroller and possibly wheelchair accessible to observation deck at bottom of falls. A couple of swimming holes. If you desire a longer hike, go past the falls up to the right and follow until you get to forest road and take right (~2 miles).

Great trail for young children, with a beautiful waterfall at the end. We enjoyed wading in the pool at the bottom. Easy to get to from Marion and ample parking. An uncomplicated outing with a big payoff.

Perfect trail for young kids with the creek flowing parallel the entire length and open to their exploration. Area in front of falls was enjoyed by all and the temperature dropped a good 10 degrees in front of the lower section (which made for a nice cool down on a hot July day). Keep an eye out for snakes as we saw what looked to be a juvenile copperhead literally at the base of the falls on a rock. Also saw a good sized crawfish climbing up the rocks underwater. Remnants of an old waterwheel are about 50 yards from the falls on the left heading back toward the trailhead.

Easy trail Good to take kids on Would be great for dogs too I went with my 12 year old daughter and 6 year old son. You must know this...my son doesn’t EVER want to get out of the house and we had a hard time getting him to leave this place. The water was easy to get into and there were so many spots all the way up to the falls where we could wade into the creek safely. So fun and so beautiful. We saw lots of butterflies near the waters edge too. So fun
