Lake Run trail is one segment of a larger trail network within Southwest Park in Guilford County, NC. It begins near the South parking lot and ends at the intersection with the Chimney Run Trail near the North parking lot. There are several options to combine with other trails to form a loop. The trail is well marked with Blue signs and trail markers.

I combined the Chimney Run, Southern and Lake Trails for an approximately 2.5 mile unspectacular yet worthwhile loop. The Lake Trail follows Hickory Creek on the northern edge of Randleman Lake. It is a nice trail through the woods, but there aren’t any views of the lake. I had to walk a short distance down the road from the lower parking area for that.
