Took the stairs across the street from the Wayah Fire tower - 3.5 out and back. Or should I say up and down. Steady incline the whole way with a couple steeper parts as well as places where it levels out enough to take a quick break. Lots of forest cover until you reach the top. The 1/4 mike walk up the bald/meadow to the top is the highlight. Amazing views in every direction. Solid quick workout and a beautiful walk up in the mountains of Nantahala.

Easy uphill hike starting from Wayah Rd following the AT with beautiful views at the top! A few cute creek crossings and lots of ferns and wildflowers along the trail.

Great trail. Mostly on the AT with a spur up to Silar Bald and 360 degree views at the peak. Enjoyed it with the kids and it was very appropriate for the 8-18 Year olds.

Awesome easy hike with big time views at the peak. Convenient parking at trail head. Moderate to challenging uphill slope to peak. Magnificent 360 degree views at peak.
