Took the stairs across the street from the Wayah Fire tower - 3.5 out and back. Or should I say up and down. Steady incline the whole way with a couple steeper parts as well as places where it levels out enough to take a quick break. Lots of forest cover until you reach the top. The 1/4 mike walk up the bald/meadow to the top is the highlight. Amazing views in every direction. Solid quick workout and a beautiful walk up in the mountains of Nantahala.

One of my favorites when all of the wildflowers are in bloom.

Easy uphill hike starting from Wayah Rd following the AT with beautiful views at the top! A few cute creek crossings and lots of ferns and wildflowers along the trail.

Great trail. Mostly on the AT with a spur up to Silar Bald and 360 degree views at the peak. Enjoyed it with the kids and it was very appropriate for the 8-18 Year olds.

Awesome easy hike with big time views at the peak. Convenient parking at trail head. Moderate to challenging uphill slope to peak. Magnificent 360 degree views at peak.
