This loop is a wooded hike. Very steep in two sections. The trail is not well worn/defined in places.

Enjoyed this trail until being swarmed by yellow jackets on the final ascent. I know it’s a hazard of the great outdoors- just wanted to make future hikers aware that there is a hive in the middle of the trail close to rock knob. We started seeing bees about 500ft ahead. Cooling temps will hopefully calm them, but they were mad to the tune of at least 16 stings between my friend, my dog, and me. I hope to return and see the rest of the trail!

This is a beautiful hike with a couple of steep climbs. In places, the trail isn’t well marked so you have to pay attention! The beginning of the trail is very narrow and requires crossing a stream.
