This logged 5.42 for us on Map My Run, and once you get to the pavement take a left then right and walk thru the parking lot to get to Persimmon trail, we didn’t find it that clear once we left the woods.
We hiked on a Saturday mid afternoon and maybe passed 4 people and 1 bike, very nice trail wide enough for most of it to go side by side, love that you can see the water, a few spots to get to the water.
Will go again.

If you’re looking for solace this is not the trail for you. There is a lot of noise from nearby roads, boats on the lake, and LOTS of airplanes. The flight patterns go directly over a large portion of this trail. It is muddy as other reviewers have mentioned. Very tropical feeling. The plus side to this trail is the length. If you’re looking for a long walk that isn’t paved then it’s great for that. I would not consider this a scenic trail.

Decent enough; though signage could be a little better. I entrusted my 14 year old to navigate and we got a little lost.

If you just want an easy hike this trail is for you ( and mountain biking). the first half of the trail does get pretty muddy after a heavy rain.

Moderate foot traffic during the week, not sure how it is on the weekend yet.

Easy. 6 mile round trip. Wooded walk along Lake Wylie. Muddy in some spots. Combine this trail with the trails at Daniel Stowe Botanical to get the most mileage. Maybe, I'll do it again in the Fall. 2 stars.

Beautiful trail, great breeze off the lake and a couple beach areas for the dog to cool off. I definitely recommend this hike, its and easier trail so great for runners and walkers.

Great 2 hour hike. Trail goes right by Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. Plenty of views of Lake Wylie. We saw a black snake and 2 large deer on this hike.

Very nice, clear, shaded path the whole trail. Nice views of the lake. Stumbled upon a black snake on the way back crossing over the trail. Will definitely be back to hike year round.

Light traffic, quiet, lots of wild life, pretty views around the lake area. Watch out for snakes.

Watch out if it's Summer. There's a pond there so animals would be around. There's actually some rattlesnakes there on the trail so be careful and keep an eye out. the hike is great and very easy.

Twas a good hike, but the trails can be a bit confusing due to the fact that most of them intersect picnic or parking areas so its not very hard to loose your trail. A pretty easy hike though with nice sites none the less.
