Some bushwhacking but, all in all, a wonderful fall hike on a beautiful Saturday

Beautiful trail. Took a late afternoon hike here and loved every minute of it. Trail is a little over grown but still easy to use. I was the only person in the woods. I'll be going back.

Not a soul around for 7.5 mikes. The outer “road trail” is in great shape. Cherry Cove Trail was just OK. Since it’s not used a lot, it’s getting grown over and lots of blow down. Trail only haze a blaze at the start and finish. Above 4,300’, the trail is impassable in spots and difficult to find. Also, dogs are not allowed!!

To add clarity - you must open the gate and drive through - the trailhead is up the hill. Make sure you close the gate - there are a few cattle roaming around somewhere!! Nice walk through the woods.

Beautiful trail but challenging to find. Go through the cow gate when the road ends, then climb up the single track road. Trail head is well marked once you get to the top.
