Rocky Knob Trail is a 1.5 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Highlands, North Carolina that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options.

June 24, 2020We live here in the gated community and it was our first time walking this trail. It's well taken care of and there are trails within the trail, i.e. creekside trail, hillside trail, David's trail and Lonesome Pine trail. Lonesome Pine trail ends up on private property. David's trail has amazing views of Osage Lake and the mountain ridge. It's a little steep at some points but use the trees that nature has provided. We will do these ones again.
