Reedy Creek Nature Preserve Trail is a 3.1 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Charlotte, North Carolina that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Really enjoyed my walk today with a friend. We explored a part of the trail that I had not visited on my last couple of visits.
One of the more peaceful trails in Charlotte. My four-legged friend likes it.
Easy trail, nice and flat, only a 4 because it’s winter and everything is dormant
Mostly level and paved. Easy to walk. Some of it is next to the Reedy Creek and some of it goes through UNC Charlotte. Would do again.
Would have given this a 5 except for the fact that some of the trails are not well marked. Set off from the Nature Center parking lot using the map downloaded from All Trails. The plan was to use the Dragonfly Pond Trail to the Sierra Loop , the Robinson Rock House Trail and then back to the parking lot. The entrance to the Dragonfly Trail is not well marked so the Alltrails map was a help. However in following the red lines trails on the All Trails map we found ourselves walking a section that is not even indicated on the map. As there are many trails that lead off to picnic shelters etc. it was at times confusing. The turn off to the Robinson Rock House was not marked and we found we had to do some backtracking as we tried to reconcile the map, the indicated route on All Trails and where we actually were. The walk out to the rock house ruins was well worth it and all in all it was an enjoyable walk.
