This was a really cool place with great walking trails. Start at the visitor center and head to the old mine to learn some history of the area. Then follow one or more of the trails around the property through the wooded areas and past some old miner equipment. Great for people of any age and ability!

It was a unique and fun experience exploring the old mine. I will be back to show the kids, and let them pan for some gold.

Great for a family day trip. Not really hiking or biking material just a family friendly educational day trip.

Neat place because of the old gold mine and the history involved. Good place for families because they will let you pan for gold for a small fee and kids should get a kick out of that. Usually a Halloween event for families as well that gets a good turn out.
