Nice easy walk. Pretty short once you get into it. Nice to relax and get a break from the city.

As noted, the trail is now completely open all the way to the end, with all 3 bridges in place and usable. As of 3/22/20, just the canoe launch was still closed. Great trail.

The trail is now completely open, so this listing needs to be updated. When we were there last weekend it appeared as though the new kayak/canoe launch was almost complete!

Nice new wooden/cement trails. Little less than a mile and perfect for a quick walk. Has picnic areas and a new playground. My dogs loved this park.

This trail is great, would have loved to be able to walk the whole thing. A bridge is out .6 miles into the trail and they’ve closed the trail past that. The kayak ramps are also closed. At the end of the trail is a warning sign that it is hunting area so wear bright colors if you do go into this trail.

We will never come back here. My dog was bit by 3 american dog ticks and never touched any bushes. How one could choose exposure to deadly and horrific diseases in the name of leisure is completely beyond me. In addition, the trail is extremely disappointing in its length, width, scenery, and elevation gain.

Seemed like a nice, well-maintained trail. Bridge is broken about .5 miles in.

Hiked it with my wife 31 Mar 2018. It's a nice, benign trail super close to us in Midland, NC. Pops out a few times to the Rocky River. Lots of birds, including some busy woodpeckers. Question: At the parking lot there is a sign with trail details and a nice picture. The picture is of a large, rocky section of what we are guessing is some section of the Rocky River. You do not see this wide, rocky section of the rocky river on this hike. Where do we go to find this sweet looking, rocky section of the Rocky River??? Thanks!
