What a great intown trail -
We stopped the day after on the way back from Blowing Rock for a short stretch.

This little trail made us envious that we don't have anything like it in Denver (NC).

And if you have 10 minutes, swing off the trail and stop at the animal shelter - maybe a future hiker is waiting for you!

Really great for all ages, and stroller friendly!

This is actually Heritage Trail Greenway and parking can be found on West 7th st. Fist half is gravel path and second phase is paved. each phase is 3/4 of a mile. so 1.5 miles total or 3 if out and back.

wouldn't it be nice if they gave an address to the parking lot?
