Bring a picnic to picnic rock. Rocky. Not real muddy on this winter dry day, but could be.

The trail is pretty nice, but poorly blazed and marked — was only able to navigate well because I had the map on this app, and even then it was hard to find the trail at points.

Great hike. Hard to find the creek crossing, but when the water is low there are a couple spots you can cross, especially if you don’t mind getting your feet wet.

I saw some of my favorite woodland creatures! A beautiful walk along the water, some very steep sections, and lots of roots, so watch your step. One could easily twist an ankle if not being careful. There is one section that's verrry overgrown, but we powered through and it was worth it.

I was a little nervous based on other reviews. But we loved this trail. We did see three snakes and were kind of surprised by the (minor) rock scaling, but it was shady, quiet, flat (until it wasn’t and the hill back to the car is no joke) and beautiful. There are blue markers telling you where to go, but sometimes the trail splits and there are two blue markers. We ended up going out about two miles, taking the second Mrs. Brown’s fort trail and looping back. 4.5 miles total. It was a great hike!

Very nice scenery along the creek. It’s shades. Rocky, lots of roots, some scrambling on the trail. Trail markers aren’t super obvious so would bring this map. I was trying to get a run in but it’s not the best for running due to the roots and rocks.
