This is an easy and very kid friendly trail. The main feature here is Moore Cove Falls which is about 50ft high and pours over a rock overhang. A couple of sections tend to be muddy but it's easy to bypass the mud. This is a must see for families.

Well maintained trail. While there has been very little rain over the past few months there was some water in the falls. Still beautiful though.

Great trail! Beginner hiker friendly. The waterfall was beautiful and very accessible. Great place to visit with family. So swimming holes but definitely nice to stand under the waterfall.

Great family hike, perfect for small kids. It’s a short hike along a well maintained path that ends at a waterfall. If you’re looking for a quick one with a great end this is it.

Great family hike for small kids - wide, well established trail. Our 3.5yo hiked nearly the entire trail and it was easy to carry the baby as well. Well maintained bridges and boardwalk at a few points.

Such a perfect trail for a family! We had our babies in backpacks and it worked out great. The trail had a lot of beautiful streams along the way. Plenty for kids to look at! The waterfall at the end was incredible, you could even go into the waterfall and get a cool down especially in the hot summer! Such a nice place to stop for a break and have lunch as well. The trail was just long enough. Highly recommend this! Not too steep only in certain places. Very easy to get through. For parking… It does get very busy but there seems to be plenty of parking. We did in the middle of the week not on a holiday week and it was still pretty busy. But I believe there is plenty of places around the road to park. Definitely worth going to!

Great trail that’s maintained well. It is a VERY busy trail so I recommend going during non peak season. Otherwise, expect to run into people constantly. The first part of the trail starts off with a few sections of nicely built but steep steps. If you have knee troubles you may find this small section of trail difficult. The trail offers several nice points of interest such as, rock formations, river views and creek crossing. Not to mention the destination! The fall itself isn’t the most impressive I seen, but it’s a nice area to chill for awhile and soak in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Kid and pet friendly. Let’s talk parking: Parking is directly off the main road which is located in a curve. There really should be signage alerting drivers to slow down and watch for pedestrians in this area. However there is none and all types of vehicles fly around the curve. I highly recommend parking closer to the trail head if possible. Doing so puts you further away from the dangerous curve, which is also a challenge when your ready to leave the area. There is little to no walking space from your car to the trail head that doesn’t involve walking on the road. Keep your kids and pets close!

Nice, scenic, easy hike. Plenty of interesting landscape to take in, minimal elevation and beautiful fall that you can walk behind. I’m loving Pisgah Forest.

The trail was nice, but probably better earlier in the day. Pretty crowded.

This is a beautiful waterfall, and the trail is doable for a solo hiker. You can stand behind and under the waterfall and the view is beautiful!

This easy to moderate hike is a short out and back type trail. Easy access and updated trail care with bridges and boardwalks make it and easy hike for beginners and families. The falls are a fun area for picture taking and wading in the water.

Great trail for families. People brought small dogs on the trail. Some steps, but very easy and well kept. Gorgeous views and lots of areas to break away from the trail.

More of a walk than a hike. Short easy trail to an interesting waterfall and a small shallow pool. Continue up stream for a bit more of a challenge. Gets a little slippery but my 10&11 year olds were able to go for about another 1/3 mile.

Super easy trail. It’s perfect if you want to spend time in nature and don’t have time for a long hike. Small, beautiful waterfall at the end is a great place to clear your head or simply take in the scenery.
