Mooney Falls cascades over a series of rocks making this is a nice spot to visit especially if staying in the Standing Indian area at either Standing Indian Campground or Hurricane Creek Primitive Campground & Horse Camp.

Hike down and back. Perhaps it's because the area is getting a lot of rain (July 2018) but this may one of the best natural waterfalls in the area and I've been coming here for years.

Have they moved the state line or has the trail slid south. According to the map this trail is located in North Carolina. Misleading if you are doing a search and it notes a completely different state.

Beautiful falls! Large tree down making a mess of the trail and surrounding forest. We made it over the down tree but could be difficult for some. Still beautiful!
