Paved loop encircling Macedonia Lake. The newly constructed trail encircling Macedonia Lake has a 210-foot section of boardwalk. The lake area is the site of a 24 acre neighborhood park to be developed in the future. Future plans extend Speight Branch to the south of Cary Parkway and to connect to Piney Plains Greenway north of Macedonia Lake.

Nice, short, fairly flat, paved loop that is part of the Cary Greenway. Circles a wooded pond area. You will likely see ducks, geese, or maybe even a crane or swan. I live within walking distance so I walk it often making a couple of loops. One side runs along an apartment complex so it can be busy depending on the time and day.

Nice short flat paved greenway around Macedonia Lake, good for an afternoon walk or bike ride. Part of the Cary Greenway system.
