Parking can be a bitch in summer.

A heavily-trafficked roadside stop with an easy walk down stairs to a beautiful waterfall. Great for family photos and cooling off after the hike up Looking Glass Rock (a few miles away).

nice. very busy on Sunday afternoon.

The waterfall is gorgeous. It’s right beside the road. There are stairs to climb down to it. We got in the water. Always crowded so go early or during the week.

Beautiful waterfall, really crowded - get there early and hike the Moore Cove Falls Trail right after.

Parking can be challenging. No real hike and very crowded, but a nice waterfall since WNC has had about 4 inches of rain the week before.

Not really a trail but a nice waterfall.

Swimming hole! Bring a towel and plan on getting your paws wet.

Easy path down an asphalt trail that is super short. Its steep but it's all accessed via stairs with good handrails. Take your time if you need to. There's no rush.

No excuse not to enjoy this magnificent fall other than you couldn't get a parking space. It gets really crowded.

One of many beautiful stops on 276 from Brevard to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Five woofs!

3 star because of all the traffic and ease. Get there before all the tourist do! Amazing waterfall right off the main road through this portion of Pisgah.

Not so much a hike, as a stop along the road to check out a beautiful waterfall

beautiful and cooling mists

Looking Glass Falls is an excellent second stop after hiking the Looking Glass Rock trail or for those who really like waterfalls. The track shown on this page is misleading in that most of the "trail" is actually just roadside parking. When not too busy you can park right next to the falls and get great unobstructed pictures from there making this an excellent ADA waterfall for those unable to walk far or navigate steps. You can also walk down several flights of cement steps (not many) to get progressively better views and can actually get all the way down to the water. In April the falls were roaring and there was a lot of mist in the air, which felt good. Due to the close proximity to the road and the easy parking and access, this falls is a good one to visit.

Very easy and great for kids and families and fun to swim in! Bring some shoes with traction and clothes you don’t mind getting wet in! Young’s e to take a dip!

These are very nice falls! I would recommend going right after a good rain to watch them roar. The steps down may be slippery. Please keep children off the rocks and away from the water when it is roaring from the rain!

A beautiful waterfall that is a must see if driving through Pisgah. The falls are easily viewable from the road, but you can also walk down a few sets of stairs to the river at the base of the falls.

Not a hike, pull off with a few steps to the base of the falls. Still, sooo worth the stop!

this is a must to do. a great roadside waterfall. only a few minutes to walk to the bottom for a nice dip or to get some great photos. i went late September when school was back in. i would assume all summer there would be a lot of people. still a must see and cant under stand why anybody would give this fall less than 5 stars

easy walk down and beautiful falls.

This is more of a road side stop than a trail. Easy to get to and worth the stop on the way to Brevard.

Awesome waterfall, but because of it's proximity to the road, it's super busy. A must-see if you're in the area, though!

Simply amazing. Such a beautiful site!!! Water was cold but so beautiful

While it was amazing to see the fact that they made it so easily accessible takes away from its beauty. Way to many people there simply to observe nature rather then be apart of it. Trash spread all along the walk and the people nowhere near as considerate or friendly as people encountered on less accessible trails Will not likely return but definitely worth seeing Five stars for the waterfall none for the experience

So cool and fun

Saturday, July 22, 2017

Awesome fun. Beautiful falls and lots of fun. Some small jumps into the deep areas. Good for paddling, wading and even trying to swim into the falls. Recommend for all ages. Can get very busy during summer and obviously weekends. Water is about 60 degrees in July, feels great when hot out.

Beautiful water fall. But it's not much of a hike or walk at all. More like a tourist stop along the road.
