This trail sucks. There are no markers to start so if you’re going for the first time, guess where to start. The trail is very uneven, over grown, and isolated. I would not recommend biking here or walking alone. There are many many pot holes and steep hills. My fiancé actually fell off of his bike when he hit the wooden bridge, and broke both of his arms. Needless to say, we will not be coming back to this trail. Regardless of your interests, there are much better trails in the area. Don’t waste your time with this one.

Trail is the cart path of the old golf course.

Walking

Great hike option with some good hills and the beauty of this former golf course is you can split the hike into what was the “front nine” and the “back nine” or walk the entire course. About 3/4 is paved cart path and 1/4 mowed fairway. We saw two people on the entire course and I would suggest walking with someone else. It can feel pretty remote in some areas. The City should add a frisbee golf course - a great way to improve the use of this enormous park space.

A man followed me, asked me to walk with him and I told him no 5 times. I had three dogs going crazy. So, be careful ladies. There’s a creep out there.

Off Road Driving

I've been riding my dirt bike here for over a year now. I'm not sure if your even allowed but ive seen other people riding every now and then who live next to the trails so I guess its fine. its a really nice spooky open place to ride with lots of wide open straightaways and curvy steep hill climbs. also a little rocky and muddy in areas which makes for more fun

To women: I am extra cautious when I am running solo. Felt a little spooked and no one was there. Bring a partner or mace to feel secure. Actually really cool. And slightly spooky. Abandoned golf place. I really love wide open spaces because it reminds me of my childhood on a farm. No shade really. Will be back with partner or my large dog.

Took the family for a walk on this trail, it was quite nice. Tours an abandoned golf course, now a park owned by the city. Trail is either paved or just following the old course. Was muddy in places but could avoid by just walking on the grass. We will go again. Saw maybe 8-10 other people.

Decent 5 mile walk on old golf course. Mostly paved path. Not much vertical as you’d expect on a golf course. Lightly trafficked.

Hidden gem right in town for a good walk/hike. An old golf course turned city park. Only saw 4-5 other people. Nice hills make for good exercise. Little shade so not a good spot for hot summer day. We went on a 50 degree sunny day, so perfect weather.

Nice walk, quiet. would be nice if there was clear markers. I think we missed half the trail because we thought we were done.

This is a former golf course with a cart path most of the way. Great walk, some steep hills but a great place to get outside and see very few people.
