Easy trail to use. Heavily populated so good for safety but also can make social distancing a little more difficult.

Walk was great! We started at Freedom Park and did the trail both ways. Came back and walked around freedom park also. Around 6.6 miles in total for us. The trail was shady 90% of the time. Was muddy here and there and there are places where the creek can flood which is why it was muddy in some places. Very popular trail and would be safe to run or walk alone. Cons: There is a part where you have to cross traffic on a cross walk. Also some loiterers were on the trail closer to the urban side. Can make it a little uncomfortable for a single female but there are plenty of people on the trail working out so you don’t feel unsafe. There is a target right off the trail which has a Starbucks in it. For a mid-walk refreshing drink.

This is a nice paved trail which I’m usually not a fan of but I had a double strolled today and a friends kids so it worked out perfect. It has a sewer smell in certain areas and has trash in the creek in some spots but your in the city so a little is to be expected. The trail continues past where this app marks it complete but I didn’t continue I turned around. It was wet and muddy in spots but nothing major. The trail is about half and half shaded so it was nice to get a break from the sun. I love any trail that has water flowing with it and it was nice to see the city in the background also. All in all it was nice and I’ll be back.

I would recommend this trail for just about anyone; families, bikers, dog-walkers, etc. It had lots of shaded areas to cool down in. There were lots of space to walk, run and bike on the trail. I enjoyed the scenery a lot.

I started in southpark and followed the sugar creek trail starting from the brandywine street trailhead. Pretty rude but heavy traffic on the weekends, went all the way to Noda and headed back.

Great weather for a fast pace walk. Little muddy in the section between Atrium Health and East Blvd because of run off. The other morning this area was also icy, so be aware during freezing temperatures. I call this the Starbucks to Starbucks walk.

The Little Sugar Creek Greenway is a popular destination for residents to walk, bike and run in Uptown Charlotte. This trail is part of the Carolina Thread Trail that extends through North and South Carolina. I started the trail on Elizabeth Avenue next to CPCC community college. This is one of my favorites as you can people watch while walking. The trail aligns Midtown, through Uptown and empties into the Myers Park neighborhood of Charlotte. After about 2.6 miles I veered left onto the Ruth Samuelson Trail. This short trail will take you past the Nature Museum, just a little further down. You can also take the bridge into Freedom Park which is a venue within itself. The trails were a little muddy under the bridges but generally clear after last nights rain. The best thing about this trail is that you can “enter” or “exit” in multiple areas. There’s a running stream the length of the trail and a man made lake inside Freedom Park. If you’re interested in exploring Charlotte’s Uptown Neighborhood, bring your camera and enter any area along the stream. Trail is fully paved and narrow in some areas, so leisure biking is a better bet. A nice route in the heart of Uptown Charlotte

For a city trail, this one was quiet and well shaded with a calm brook running along most of it. I only walked the Freedom Park area of the trail so I cannot speak to the rest of it.

The map is a little short It can Start just behind Park Road Shopping Center and also end going up 6th st with new trail. Parts have lots of trees and parts are very urban. It's my second favorite ride in Charlotte area...

Cycle or walk, this is a nice greenway through Charlotte. The path takes you very close to downtown yet in parts you might think you were out in the woods somewhere. the new sections is very nicely done, must have cost quite a chunk of money. My only issue is several of the underpasses were kind of sketchy with mud, sand and God knows what on the path which was not easy to see because they are quite dark. Otherwise I would have given five stars.

No elevation and crowded during the nice weather months. The greenway is taken care of nicely, though.
