Little Creek Loop Trail is located near Mamers, North Carolina. The trail is great for hiking. Little Creek Trail is a u-shaped trail which connects to the Raven Rock Trail. The trail is used primarily to access the group campground and the canoe campground at Raven Rock State Park. The trail is generally very quiet and follows little creek to the Cape Fear River. The canoe campground and the group campground are both accessed from this trail. The canoe campground has 6 sites and the group campground has several very large sites for groups. Both campgrounds have very private, well-spaced sites. If you are visiting Raven Rock State Park and want to get away from the crowd for awhile, this trail is a good choice. Little Creek Loop is an easy 1.5 mile loop that connects the Raven Rock Loop Trail with Canoe Camp and Group Camp trails. Trail follows Little Creek along mountain laurel laden and gently rolling terrain. Little Creek Loop Trail is an easy loop that connects the Raven Rock Loop Trail with Canoe Camp and Group Camp trails. Trail follows Little Creek along mountain laurel laden and gently rolling terrain. The section along the creek is more interesting as the return half tends to be more of a pine straw laden roadbed. Mountain laurel and exposed granite rocks along the creek remind you of a mountain environment. Good for trail running.

A great trail off the beaten path if you want to get away from the crowds that are going to raven rock itself. I hiked this on a Saturday when it was mega crowded and barely saw any people on this loop.

We combined Little Creek Loop with the Raven Rock trail on a late winter hike. We started beside the picnic shelter in the first parking lot and first took the easy but uneventful American Beech Trail. Then started down the Loop along Little Creek through mountain laurel, hardwoods and pines and stayed right onto the Little Creek Loop trail - nice short trail along the creek with a few small falls, but again uneventful. Then after passing the bridge to Group Camp, went onto the Raven Rock Loop to the river.
