Nice walk on a fall day. Guess it would be more beautiful in the months they suggest, but definitely well worth the time today. We went out and back from the Pleasant Green entrance about 2.5 miles each way. The quarry that you hike around was serene and picturesque. Definitely will do more of this trail!

Finished the last section of this trail during a rainstorm. Trail covers a long stretch along the Eno, starting at either West Point on the Eno or Guess Road. Great views of the river, plants include ferns, Mountain Laurel [hence the name], galax and lots of trees. Lots of ups and downs. A couple of historic sites, including a pump house and an old homesite. Have seen turtles, snakes, and deer. Lots of access points to other trails as well. Some will hike this using two cars, one on each end. Enjoy a part or all.
