Lane Pinnacle is a 4.1 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Weaverville, North Carolina that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, nature trips, and bird watching.
This is a challenging but not too long trail with breathtaking views. The climbs begin early and there are amazing overlooks throughout. Users will find beautiful flora, and in some parts hike through meadows in the middle of the woods. Beware that there can be slippery rocks and a fair amount of mud. Traveller tip: get a takeout lunch at Well-Bred Cafe in Biltmore Village, bring some camp chairs and make it a lunch date at one of the several lookouts.
Great hiking!! Wonderful views. One section is very narrow cliff walking. Good workout but my 8 yr old girl completed it just fine. Last Saturday in November, not crowded at all and it was a beautiful 60* day. Lots of roots and stones so wear sturdy shoes, but also several sections of smooth walking. Happy hiking
Great elevation climb. Steady. Beautiful views. Narrow in a short section, can get muddy.
Overall trail in good shape but muddy in sections . I started at the directions provided and registered 4.6 miles. Endless views. It would make more sense to park at the pull over described below as the extra mile doesn’t provide anything except exercise not more views. I would rate this more on the difficult side comparing it to some of the other ratings all trails provides.
