Lake Junaluska Trail is a 3.7 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Lake Junaluska, North Carolina that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
An easy, paved, loop trail around the lake with great views of the mountains. Accessibility: The trail surface is paved and it is typically at least four feet wide. It is mostly gentle, all estimated to be 5% or less. Most wheelchair/mobility equipment and stroller users will find this trail navigable.

Pretty Lake. Ended up not doing whole thing as where we parked there were no signs that you have to do the trail clockwise to maintain social distance. Because of that, we literally had to turn around when we reached a sign telling us to do so. Would have been nice to see sign close to where people park. Lots of swans & ducks, & nice views of the mountains. Flat & easy.
Paved. More a stroll than a hike. Beautiful views. Mountains are pretty wherever they are. But ok... ok ok... ok. When you pull into the community, the proletarian row dormitories and dining hall SCREAM Lake Jonestownalaska. Once you get around the lake though, the class distinctions become gradually more clear; notice how the houses get a lot nicer the farther around you walk until... *gasp* the stone McMansion of the Lake King!!
