WalkingGreat!

Nicely paved and lots of signs so it’s easily to follow. One concern is the lack of mask-wearing when passing one another. I saw 3 people out of roughly 75 put a mask on when we were walking by each other.

I would recommend this trail for beginners or families looking for a good Sunday hike. One side is paved while the other is trails thru the woods. Plenty of shade all around. Only sunny section is actually across the dam!

The west side was more fun and less busy than east side (which is all tarmac) but enjoyed both and would do it again. Some pretty viewpoints and a pretty decent after-work workout to do the whole thing.

Great moderate hike. I recommend hiking shoes for the winter. Part of the trail is rough terrain and the other part is cement. We went after a week of no stop raining and the terrain part was very muddy, hence why you will need waterproof hiking shoes. You get to view some great scenic points. Lots to view and observe. The terrain and paved area varies in elevation, so be ready to feel the burn going up those hills.

Did the west loop. Nice short easy walk with a small section of hilly terrain. Well visited trail with plenty of dogs in tow (actually, owners in tow).If you just want to get out into nature without a serious workout, give this a shot.

Great place for a walk. Trail offers variety of scenery along the way with different sections offering a different experience. Usually very crowded though.

Pretty great! Lovely views of the lake and lots of beautiful trees around a river. I really enjoy the hills in the unpaved section. There was in fact quite a bit of foot traffic.

Quick easy access for routine exercise, but usually busy & not particularly friendly crowd. Very much a city walk.

Love Lake Johnson. The unpaved side of the lake is more moderate with more hills, but beautiful views on trails.

Once you get to the northwest of the lake the crowd shakes out and the path turns into a great escape. South side of the lake makes for some good trail running.
