Nice moderate hike with plenty of river time for the dogs.

This was a beautiful hike along the river. It was more difficult than I had thought (some climbing over rocks.) There is a long uphill climb, but it wasn't too strenuous.

Nice moderate hike with good cardio in short 10 minute elevation change.

Interesting scenery of the old mill. Trail not in great shape and some huge boulders block the path

Nice little loop, hiked in mid summer. Would go back in fall to see the leaves changing.

Holden Mill Trail is four miles only if you include the portion of the Buckquarter Creek Trail you need to travel on to access it. The actual loop is 2.6 miles. Although pretty, I tend to avoid the section along the river because it's rocky and can be slippery when wet. I stick to the hilly portion. You will want to take the final loop portion to the actual mill site which is signed. The mill's water raceway and many stone walls are intact.
