A tour of two of Dupont State Forest's stunning waterfalls...and also some intriguing mystery. Hiking: Right on Buck Forest Road, left on Covered Bridge Trail, right on High Falls Trail, right on Triple Falls Trail, right on Buck Forest Road back to parking
The falls are spectacular! The heavy rains we have been experiencing allows a large volume of water to pour over the falls. There are large "rooster tails" at High Falls. The trail is okay, heavily used.
Had a beautiful hike to high Falls this past weekend! The weather was amazing until we got the top of the Falls at the covered bridge then there was a torrential downpour! Nevertheless it made for a great time, wonderful memories and Hilarious stories!!
Great views of rocks and waterfalls and an unusual huge rock formation that you walk on to see one of the falls. At the bottom, nice rock-clambering in the stream.
Wide trails and was not busy when we went (which I heard is rare)! We went when it was supposed to rain which seemed to scare most people away but turned out to be a gorgeous day!
Wide paths. Well groomed. Hooker, Triple, and High Falls views. LOTS of people. We did this with little kids and it was fine. Otherwise the crowds aren't worth it!
Well maintained and marked trails from easy to find parking lot. Trails are not very steep or "wild" as they have been graded and filled with white pebbles.
Gorgeous waterfalls and covered bridge. Dogs okay if leashed. Bathrooms at visitors center. Approximately three flights of stairs to see the triple falls but all others are easy access.
