A little over 3 mile loop next to Lake Mackintosh. Moderate terrain with some roots, rocks and hills. Very clean and open view of the wooded area. Little to no brush growth under the trees.
park closed on Wednesday and Thursday.....
A nice easy trail! I would not call it moderate at all.
good trail but somewhat rocky and rooty
Nice scenery, clearly marked trail.
Nice 5k run. Just enough roots, rocks, and rolling hills to make it interesting, but not enough to force a slow pace. Love the quartz outcrops.
Would give it 5 stars if it was a few miles longer.
Nov 15, 2016 completed the 3 mile loop with a 20 pound back pack and it was a nice hike. Trail was easy to follow, a few small hills. there was a gazebo about the half way mark and it overlooked the water. There were a few benches to rest. There were some rocks and roots but overall I thought it was fairly easy.
The park is closed on Wed and Thur as mentioned before and Dec and Jan it will only be open Friday Saturday and Sunday.
Nice walk and nice views!
I went to mountain bike for the first time here this morning, beware, closed Wednesday's and Thursdays. I will return to give a more accurate review when I can get in. No posting here or hours listed that showed they are closed mid week, wanted others to know.
Great trail! All under tree cover. Beautiful hike!
Very good easy hike. The 3 mile loop brings you around the lake and through the forest. Nice scenic easy stroll.
this was a fun hike with a natural path, occassional benches, bridges, a gazebo, a picnic area - good idea for next time!, lots of frogs! turtles, lake views, mushrooms, etc. its lightly trafficked and good for hiking or running. there are lots of other activities to do at the park as well! great visit. we even did half of it in the rain and enjoyed it.
