Directions from Winston-Salem, NC: Take US 52 north for 24 miles to the park entrance. It is clearly marked. Travel to the Family Campground which is the first road on the right after passing the park office. Take it to the end which is a loop and the trailhead is located on the eastern side of this camping loop, campsites 16 and 17.

winding trail little climb but not bad. my 3 yr old daughter did it with no problems. plenty of rest areas if needed
