Beautiful trail overall, but no overlook. The trail head starts at the right side of the parking lot near the picnic bench. Once on the trail, it quickly divides into two sections, left and right. After looking at All Trails suggestion of the Grassy Ridge Mine Overlook and trail maps, the right division was the one to take because the left division didn’t seem to be marked. The trail to the right was clear to follow and fairly easy. I hiked the 1.2 miles to the supposed overlook, and there was none. I continued to follow the trail almost another mile and still no overlook. At this point, I decided to turn around and hike back. Overall it was a nice trail that was easy to follow, but no overlooks.

nice little trail. it's part of the mountains to sea,so you can go as fear as you like. the.6 is at a little spring if you're just doing the 1.2 out and back.

Uneven trail with lots of rocks and roots. Beautiful with lots of gorgeous moss. Crossed a little water. Pretty views.

it was okay, we had shade pretty much the entire time, the path was at times full of roots and rocks but my 5 year old made it through just fine.

This trail is really two trails that start at the parking lot of an overlook. We took the right trail which was moderate in difficulty, a narrow path with many roots and rocks, a little up and down throughout, and almost all shaded. It was definitely longer than described, we didn’t make it to any end but rather turned around and it had no view. Nothing special.

Kind of a bizarre trail that leads nowhere and is definitely longer than the map indicates. I’d pass.

A very basic in/out trail around a ridge that puts you in the woods. No creeks, no glades, no wildflower fields, no views (except at the parking lot). Not bad, but definitely not a trail anyone should go out of their way for.

Great trail, but was confused. The trail is not properly marked; we were not able to tell when or if the trail ended. So we kept hiking and eventually hit another trail. Other than that, was really pretty trail with LOTS of moss. Myself and my dog loved it.

Beautiful trail. The mossy rocks really make you feel like you're having a fantasy-novel adventure. The lower trail at least is not blazed or otherwise marked except at the trailhead, but it's well-maintained and cleared enough that sticking to it is easy. Other then the sound of cars passing, I saw no signs of civilization on my hike mid-morning on a Sunday in July.

These hikes are part of the Mountain to Sea trail and were well maintained-overgrowth has just been cut back apparently. Very little elevation but some slippery footing occasionally. Pretty wildflowers on both the upper and lower trails. Hiked these severL days and never saw another soul, although you can hear traffic noise from the Parkway. Dog friendly!

Lovely, hidden trails extending more than a mile in both directions from a trailhead just off the overlook parking lot. Mossy, wide trails and a cloud-forest feel on the trail to the right; the trail to the left is drier and more overgrown. Both are fun, hidden gems — we never saw any other people on either!
