Busy for a winter afternoon. Bikes, dogs joggers. A little muddy.
Very steep and slippery at times when it was wet and lots of roots. Not as much wildlife as expected, but the mountain laurels were beautiful.
i did a little bit more than the bike trail going thru the Escatoe and over the river out thru the Risgah bur the bike trail is nice, smooth, lots of people, parts of it are woodsy, some along the highway. easy ride.
Nice trail in the town along the river. shady. When I went part of it was being worked on and the detour portion was not great. Bicycles are somewhat careless.
Easy gravel/boardwalk trail along the Davison river. A few nice spots to get your feet wet along the way. A bit muddy/trenched out in spots from mountain bikers but easy to get around. Started at Lowe’s and went out and back, right around 3 mi.
Very flat but shaded and cool. Some very muddy spots. Nice walk by the river and connects to the Art Loeb trail. Parking either at Lowe’s or at the other end.
Parked at Lowe’s. Brought dog and he loved jumping in the river several times to drink and wade. There’s a few cross trails, on with difficult rating if you want to make hike longer. There’s bikes, dogs, runners, baby buggies, fishing people to watch out for. Dog loved it so I’ll rate a 5. Nice and shady and flat.
This is more of a walk along a river than a hike. It’s pretty, but it’s crowded and has a lot of traffic noise. Good if you need something short and flat.
We were looking for a trail to walk after a lot of rain that wouldn't be too muddy. This one is mostly gravel with some boardwalks and was great, a couple of large puddles but easily skirted. We enjoyed the rushing river, cliff face and flowers along the route and walked almost 3 miles after exploring the camp ground. Like others have suggested, we parked at Lowes and crossed the street to the trail head.
Nice leisure trail. You take this trail straight to Davidson Campground. The Art Lobe trail connects to this trail.
