This is more of a walk along a river than a hike. It’s pretty, but it’s crowded and has a lot of traffic noise. Good if you need something short and flat.

We were looking for a trail to walk after a lot of rain that wouldn't be too muddy. This one is mostly gravel with some boardwalks and was great, a couple of large puddles but easily skirted. We enjoyed the rushing river, cliff face and flowers along the route and walked almost 3 miles after exploring the camp ground. Like others have suggested, we parked at Lowes and crossed the street to the trail head.

Added the exercises loop to the hike to make it a nice walk. Little to no traffic. Trail was just slightly muddy. Temp was in mid 50’s. What more could you ask for in January.

Nice leisure trail. You take this trail straight to Davidson Campground. The Art Lobe trail connects to this trail.

Great easy trail for a nice walk. Trail is muddy in several areas because of rain but you can walk around. Our toddlers loved this trail and were easily able to walk. great spot to get your feet in the water/let dogs play about halfway in. Turn around at the bridge where it leads to the campground. We parked at the credit union and walked down the hill to the road to start the trail there. Starts as a paved trail

Nice flat walk in the woods, pretty scenery. Parking tips - Park at the Lowe's across the street & use the pedestrian crosswalk. The bank near the trailhead has big signs all over, "Customer parking only", as do most of the places on the other side of the bridge. The bridge is too narrow for safe pedestrian crossing, especially with kids. Trailhead is easy to find, nice paved path for a while following the river. Lots of bikers, other hikers, fishermen, picnickers across the river. Turn-around point is pretty easy to find, foot bridge over the river about a mile up the path. We did not see any waterfalls in anyone's back yard; suspect that review is for another trail; Estatoe just keeps going into the national forest. Good, easy hike, pretty scenery, but nothing special.
