Tough one to review because it is great for exercise but not scenic, pretty crowded, and has a couple of sewer smelling spots most of the year. It is, as said, the best running trail near downtown.

Good beginner trail for XC biking. Loose gravel and rocks going up and downhill but solid flat sections are nice along with a few good golf course views and benches.

Wouldn’t say it’s easy. It has a lot of hills. Not too scenic, but is fine for a good 3 mile workout. Public parking is a gravel lot just before the main golf course parking.

Parking can be tricky but I’ve never had to turn back because there was no space. The trail is a good workout with a couple of good hills. Mostly quiet and plenty of room so you don’t feel crowded by others.

Great trail. Went out around dusk and saw three Copperheads within ten minutes. Two and four-legged friends use caution as the sun goes down.

Easy 3 mike loop. You’ll see dogs and families on this trail. Mostly flat with one maybe two inclines. No trash cans along the way, be prepared to pick up after your dog with strong odor trapping bags until the end of the trail when you come across a bin. It’s a beautiful little trail with lots of shade.

Very easygoing trail with a couple of inclines. Very busy though being near a college. Nice trail!

Great hilly and shady running course. Main loop is 3 miles. Side loop is about 0.5 miles. Can get crowded on weekends and later in the morning. Parts get a little flooded after heavy rain.

Great trail for trail running, wide dirt/crushed gravel path around Duke Golf Course, connects with Sally Meyerhoff Fitness trail for an extra mile and various workout stations. Nicely shaded, separates you from the hustle and bustle of Durham and the University. Also good for nature trips as part of the Swampland exhibits as well as mountain biking. Can get crowded at certain times of day and on the weekends.

Great running trial. Plenty of hills and a beautiful view of the Wa. Duke golf course. Plenty of hills and straight aways. Parking can be a problem.

Good trail but often very crowded. Lots of joggers and dogs on leash so a little chaotic sometimes. Pick your timing wisely. Also, watch signs while parking. Lately I've seen lots of illegal parkers get tickets.

A nice three mile loop around the Duke golf course. It is mostly wooded with a few small hills. It's a very popular trail among the campus community for getting some exercise outside. There are two parking areas off Cameron Boulevard. The larger lot is just east of the Washington Duke Inn and across the road from the athletic fields.
