Dome Falls, Spicoli Falls, and Middle Creek Falls is a 2.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Scaly Mountain, North Carolina that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until December. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
We followed Bill Watson's recommendation below and we found the trailhead. Unfortunately, walking along Hwy 106 is not a very safe option. the shoulder is about 18-24" wide at best. Once on the hard to discern trail, we found the first beautiful waterfall but after that the trail virtually was non existent and we were climbing over and under rhododendrons, up and down the steep hills and never made it to the second waterfall. We found the zipline trail and headed toward the road only to trespass through someone's property to make it back to the Hwy and our car. The woods were beautiful and the sound of the creek soothing but we either did something way wrong or the map is wrong because the map indicated we were "on trail" the whole time. Be careful on this one. Maybe it's better starting at the zipline parking lot.
