Definitely take a picture of the map in parking lot or download the trail on this app. The trail can get confusing at intersections. We combined Juney Whank Falls into Deep Creek and Indian Creek Loop. There are some elevation gains throughout so be prepared to take breaks along the way.

Very nice trail, some nice cardio uphills. Very crowded at the start. That’s the only reason I wouldn’t give it a five star. You need to head up the trail a few miles to leave the crowds behind, but the trail isn’t too interesting beyond that. Signs were okay. We ended up off trail after missing the sign for the loop. Managed to get 6.3 miles after having to park at the main lot and no parking at the trailhead.

Awesome short trail. Most of the trail starts next to the creek and is a gravel path. There are a few falls and rapids along the way. The trail then splits into the loop where it goes up then down. Cool moss and fungus growth. Saw some snails on a tree and a Crane coming back. My only reason not to give 5 stars is that the trail is at a day use area. Not too many people when we started, LOADS of families coming back. Many where there to tube, to add that many were carrying tubes as well. I would make sure you get up early to avoid the crowds and noise if you want to take in the area peacefully!

Enjoyable hiking trail. I carried my 18-month-old in a pack. The trail itself was in very good condition. Well marked, not too strenuous, good footing. Several rewarding moments once you get past all of the people tubing on the river. Two nice waterfalls, and the river runs parallel with the trail for much of the hike.

This trail is basically 2 heavily used, wide gravel trails connected by a heart pounding climb over a ridge for no other reason than to connect the loop. I love loops but also love a payoff and this trail does not have one for the most challenging section.

Combined Deep Creek & Indian Creek Loop with the Three Waterfalls Loop and Juney Whank Falls Loop. A little over 5 miles in total. Good signage and easy trail to follow (definitely bring a map or grab a photo of the one at the trailhead if you plan on combining multiple of the trails). Only a couple of relatively strenuous hilly sections, very smooth and easy to hike for the most part. Sections next to the creeks were very pleasant but the hilly section in between was just alright. Waterfalls were pretty but comparable to many others you can hike to throughout the region. Worth the hike but I wasn't floored. Would give 3.5 stars if I could.

Great hike for beginners, doing the full loop was a moderate challenge but enjoyable exercise. Lots of creeks and falls to observe, no wildlife seen.

Very easy most of the hike. after you see both falls you get away from the water for a while and meet all of your elevation at once. Which is tough for a person that lives below sea level and is just visiting haha. All in all, very worth it.

I wouldn't call it a "hike." More of a walk on a gravel road. Lots of people with kids. Waterfalls are ok. Kind of boring compared to more beautiful areas, but ok if you have kids and want something really easy with a wide trail and near civilization. Not good for someone who prefers actual trails.

Really great trail! Clearly marked and beautiful. Moderate is the perfect rating, it got a little steep at times but never anything too challenging (or that a quick break couldn't fix).

Trail is heavily used by people carrying their tubes up-stream. The waterfalls are pretty and it was fun to watch some of the tubers.

Our first hike was here. Great fun, but the mountain is steep in place. Really a beautiful hike.

You can see three waterfalls along this trail if you plan adequately and include multiple trails in the hike. For those who want a shorter trail, you can turn around after reaching Indian falls and take deep creek horse trail rather than Indian falls trail (the waterfall is at the beginning of the trail). The first waterfall on the hike (Tom Branch falls) is beautiful and the water is calm enough to wade in. This is the area where many people rent tubes for tubing down the river. Indian Creek falls is beautiful as well; however, it not as easy to climb around the waterfall, and the water was a little too stagnant and dangerous to swim in. The third waterfall is June Whank falls which is accessed by taking a detour into June Whank Falls loop trail. The trail mostly follows the river, so there are many picturesque views. The trail is also used by horses in some places so it’s more of a gravel trail than a dirt trail for much of the hike.

Simple trail but well-maintained and beautiful throughout. Mostly following the water except for the climb/descent on the ridge. Lots of traffic but plenty of room.

Well kept trail. Some flats, some hills, very well marked, it stays mostly along the creek and provides the nicest views closest to the creek. Mostly fire road track running but there is some singletrack. Nothing to look at at the very top of this trail head, but a nice hike to get up there and a fun run down. Don’t blaze right past the waterfall! It will be below you if you run this trail clockwise.

First to Review

The trail is easy to walk which is a good thing as the creeks had my attention most of the time. These creeks in early January had a lot of snow/ice in them. I will be back when the leaves are out!
