This is an awesome forest that is primarily used for hiking and camping. The camping experience to be expected is the reality of actually being alone in the wild. The area is clean and well maintained. There are a few beautiful lakes within this national forest that many boaters go for fishing and recreational activities. While camping here, there was an abundance of firewood, which made my time there eventful in exploring. I did not see any big game but of course there are small rodents and deer. If you are searching for privacy and peace then this is the place!
