a nice hike along the river. muddy in many places so hiking boots are a must. I'd also encourage a walking stick for balance. now with the leaves down, great views of the opposite Bank which has mountain Laurel and Rocky cliffs. should make for nice viewing in the meantime frame when the Laurel blooms.
Awesome trail- in the rain I didn’t see a soul but the trail was quite wet and flooded in spots
Muddy after a few days of rain which made it a little slippery on top of the leaves. But the river babbling near the trails and the quiet time out there really makes it worth it.
Wonderful rooty trail that loops around the woods & river. Very peaceful fall hike with my foster dog!
couldn't cross the river without getting wet. but it 3.5mile to the turn around. very nice! careful of robots but not bad. really enjoyed it. lots of turtles!
Great trail, very scenic, and one of our favorites in the RDU area!
Super fun. Lots of different terrain. Spots to get in the water. Great hike
Lots of roots on the trail and people swimming at different parts of the river. But for the most part, not too crowded.
Well maintained trail. Goes from yellow marker into red and then yellow again. Not too many bugs. Can be rooty and rocky at times but that’s mostly in the beginning and end of the hike. You hike about 1 mile along the river! It’s beautiful.
Easy trail with an awesome swim hole! My only complaint is that the rope swing was a little longer!
Great hike, I took my dog and put a hammock up by the river and dipped our toes in Babbit Hole.
Great hike next to Eno River. Mostly shaded, spots to stop and cool down with a swim, picnic and spend the day. Just the right leisurely hike with a 2 year old in the group. We completed 4.6 miles out and back. Could definitely make it longer linking to other trails. slightly crowded on a Sunday but not annoying or overwhelming with people. Would recommend!
