Easy short pretty hike with bbn if reward at the end. Keep in mind touching rocks and branches that other people have been touching.

Awesome hike, the falls at the end are beautiful, and there are some smaller ones along the way. It was very muddy after a few days of rain. A bit of scramble at the very top, by the waterfall (optional).

My kids and I love this trail. Plenty of water spots to stop and cool off and a beautiful waterfall at the end. Just the right length for my 6 year old and 1.5 year old.

Beautiful waterfalls and easy walk. I recommend to go before 9 am to avoid crowd. It is a really easy walk more than a hike

Great little trail. Good for everyone. Nice views and wide paths. And a beautiful waterfall. The only problem is the popularity and crowds near the best part of the trail. Recommended but not a trail if you are looking for a little tranquility.

great little hike! Super easy, just a mild incline. Lot only about a quarter full at 10 am on a Sunday, but nearly totally full by 11:30 when we left.

Parking lot and trail both open 5/12/20. Excellent short hike that followed the robust river with several beautiful bridge crossings. The falls do not disappoint.

We did this hike in 2018, right after a huge storm, which made the waterfall unbelievably strong and beautiful. The path was a little muddy at the time but it’s was still visible. The hike was just the right distance for us with our hound dog. This is one of the biggest waterfalls I’ve seen

Great hike. Don’t get fooled. The first waterfall isn’t the end. Keep hiking and you’ll find a second waterfall about a half mile further. You’ll have to climb some pretty steep steps to get there. One point has a rope to help you climb and descend but it’s worth it and has a lot less people around.

easy walking trail for all ages and dogs! the trail can be muddy after it rains and there are some rocks to climb over at some parts. the rocks are very easy and mostly flat. there is a smaller waterfall on the way, make sure to stop by and spend some time there! this is part of where you will walk over a small stream and rocks. the far left you can climb when you get to the main waterfall, the top of the waterfall comes into view. this is a must see! great place for a picnic & reading. my dog loves catawba, i take her here every year on her birthday. this was our third trip!

This is the best hike I’ve done yet! We got there early and had the trail to ourselves. Plenty of places to slip off trail for privacy. The falls are beautiful, and we spent a long time just looking at them. Once people started showing up we got to play fetch with a dog and take a lot of pics for other hikers. This was an amazing hike, and we can’t wait to come back in the summer when it’s warm enough to swim!

Lovely trail not strenuous for the average person but can be heavily trafficked by tourist. After rain it’s extremely muddy, bring rain boots if you got them for a hike during or a day after rain.

Second time hiking here and it’s a great short hike! Falls are worth it.
