A great short hike that takes you from Commissary trail to meet with Old Mitchell trail near the peak of Mt Mitchell. It was a beautiful hike but lots of roots and rocks so watch your footing

Descended using this trail and Commisary Trail after going up Old Mitchell Trail. Nice workout, good birding as well.

Short and relatively steep with mostly pretty forest views. I completed this trail as part of a wonderful loop with the Commissary and Old Mitchell Trails.

Short trail that is part of the access to the Mount Mitchell Trail if you are staying in the campground at Mount Mitchell. You don't have to start at the summit this way.
