this trail is on a dead end road at Lake Tahoma. it is not even close to Mt. Mitchell summit.

Beautiful views the entire hike if you get on the crest. There is a longer hike option (about 13 mi 1 way) if you can find a spot to hop on further out. 4000+ elevation gain in first few miles. Rough.

the Directions to this trail lead to a dead end street facing posted private land and nowhere near camp alice or mt mitchell
