Buxton Woods Trail is a 0.8 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Buxton, North Carolina that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking and nature trips and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

July 26, 2019Easy trail with some information posts and wildlife. Wear bug spray. We came across a cottonmouth and a garter snake, some frogs, and a spider the size of a baseball. Short but good.

First to ReviewMostly shaded wide nature trail with signs along the loop describing items of interest. We had to be careful not to step on the dozens of Fowler’s Toads crossing the trail.
