From Commissary Ridge it begins near a water source and is rather flat for the first section. There are a number of muddy seep areas where you might be ankle deep but is generally easy. After a while you start getting to the switchbacks and descending. This is definitely not a section for horses and continues most of the way to the trailhead. It is narrow with large, loose rocks for long sections. Strong ankles and good knees are needed for this trail.

This trail is highly overgrown and muddy. There is a lot of water along the way and wet spots. Bring extra socks. You follow a ridge with a few nice views. God help your shoes and wet feet.
