The terrain within Clarks Creek is gently sloping, with elevation ranging from 740 to 824 across its 109 acres. Most of Clarks Creek is in agricultural fields that are periodically mowed and being used as early successional habitat. About 27 acres of the preserve is forested with its last disturbance in 1975. The property contains a 1.5 acre pond as well on the southeastern side in one of the mowed areas. Clarks Creek Nature Preserve grasslands provide wildlife habitat for several declining bird species, and the water resources support aquatic species not found on other preserves.

Nice & easy trail. It’s convenient to get to, and once you’re there it is a lovely and quiet walk to do.

There are many trails in this location; while not difficult at all definitely a peaceful location. Would be an easy trail run, walk with the family, or just nice exercise. Watch for dog poop though. You will hear vehicle traffic along the entire trail, so it's not necessarily "quiet / out in deep nature."
