Should have known better trail is a portion of the MTS trail that basically parallels the Blue Ridge Parkway. Pretty and an easy walk but you better like the sound of traffic. But to paraphrase a saying...a bad walk in the woods is better than a good walk in the suburbs.

Not a lot to see and you always see and hear traffic on the BRP and other streets. Seems to be popular for walking dogs because every person I came across had a dog. On a Friday afternoon I came across about six people. It's ok if you don't have time to drive out of town to hike.

Very accessible and enjoyable. Great beginning trail to get into trail running.
