Will definitely be hiking this again. Very windy, but overall awesome trail and views.

We parked at the top of Mt Mitchell and hiked this trail to the peak of Mt Craig. It starts out easy but quickly you’re climbing hand and foot over big rocks. Very cool hike and awesome views from Mt Craig.

Great rough terrain and views, lush forest and rock scrambles.

This is a strenuous trail. You can head upwards 800 feet from the Bumcombe Horse Trail or downward from the Crest Trail. You'll follow a rocky creek run and high over-grown brush. There's two areas with views. There's a nice spring at the bottom for water.
