This is probably the shortest hike with the greatest reward as you will hike a total of a one mile in, around and out. The views are absolutely stunning!!! After a short walk there are two different areas that you walk out onto a large rock face with views of Grandfather Mountain and surrounding areas. This is a best kept secret!

Gorgeous views at the top. Perfect for an easy, quick evening hike to feel like you're on top of the world.

This trail gets the best view for the least amount of work award. An easy hike you can take grandma and the kids on and still make it to town in time for lunch.

This was one of our first trails we did when we came to the mountains 7 years ago. It’s great because there are two different bluffs to walk out onto once you get to the top. It never disappoints. Our son actually proposed to his fiancée here.

A short hike with amazing views. Our expectations were few and abundantly exceeded. Large rock areas. Some part covered with trees. Great area to sit and marvel the splendor of the Blue Ridge. Very kid/pet friendly. Nice area to picnic, as well. 10/10 recommended!

A real surprise, not expecting much. Nice trail large rocks to step up onto, maybe placed by the CCC as just off the trail very few. Shaded the whole way with wildflowers abundant. Fantastic view off of large granite monolith at the end. Closer to moderate than easy but well worth the hike.

A great hike with a big payoff for being so easy. Go right at the top for a nice view of the Piedmont and Mount Mitchell and go left for for an eastern view of Grandfather Mountain and Pisgah National Forest.

This is an easy little hike with two great overlook spots. We went on Sunday afternoon and only passed 2 people hiking up.

Our 3-5-7 year olds did this no problem. Short and pretty easy thru the woods (roots and rocks) to get to the opening ... and once you do - WOW!! What a view! You can even see Charlotte to the left (south). Highly recommend! We did this before heading to Grandfather Mountain State Park.

I agree this hike should be marked as "moderate" - it's short but has a steep and rocky climb to the top. Beautiful views as others have noted.

This spot is a known with locals that hikes down from Dry Creek road, small pull over spot, to a flowing waterfront with creek, rocks, and beached area. I have loved this spot since I was a kid. Very peaceful.
