A few small water features but nothing particularly noteworthy. Fairly wide gravel trail. We stopped on the way into town on a whim.

This was a good day hike for the family. It’s a wide gravel trail with 5-6 small waterfalls (basically all the same one cascading down the winding of the road) but they were great to stop at and let the dogs play. The weather was great and it wasn’t too hot. We hiked to the dam and clocked it at about 3.5 miles. From where we were, the lake could be viewed below but we weren’t able to get to it. We ended up eating lunch on the concrete barricades at the dam. There was no shade there, so if it were August, it would have been too hot. It definitely one to consider, it is easily accessible and has a parking lot.

It was a good trail. Unfortunately we weren’t prepared for it and we couldn’t finish it. Next time!

We enjoyed the hike. It was a steady gradual climb up to the waterfall. We turned around there, so our hike was only 6.5 miles. It was peaceful and we didn’t run into anyone else. The trail was more of a road, but it didn’t matter we were out and enjoyed ourselves.
