Quiet. Perfect for a little swim and getaway. Strange roads before hand but lead to a beautiful location.

Awesome trail! Make sure to check out the Venus Pool then double back to the main trail. Once you get past a mile or so the signs disappear but like the other posts say, just follow any marker on the trail, paint, ribbons, yellow, blue, red, whatever. There is cell coverage too so just pull up the Alltrail map if you get lost.

Before leaving check out the Fish Pool below the covered bridge - Spectacular!

Interesting trail...or sorta trail. We hiked about a half mile before we saw the first Yankee Smith trail sign, other than the sign at the trailhead. Basically if you see any color trail marker follow it...red, yellow, blue, white. There are other trails in the area to explore as well. Fun day, beautiful stream.

this would be a five star trail if this was better marked out. not only was the sign that marked the beginning rotted (found out on the way out) I was hiking in the fall so I had to rely on paint marks of inconsistent coloring and no real easy of knowing if I hit the end of the trail or not, as it apparently connected to a trail that ran parallel to a gorgeous stream next to some amazing rock walls.

so if you are comfortable using your intuition to hike I recommend this trail, there is a lot of beauty to take in.

This place was great. There are many trails leading off of this trail. Can keep you busy the entire day with different levels of difficulty. Actually kept hiking past trail and hiked up the creek a good 2 miles more. There's a beautiful pond too. Filled with fish and snapping turtles.
